Ya tenemos respuesta del editor, y nos dice lo siguiente:
"We cannot allow you to translate any portion of Training & Racing with a Power Meter for any purpose unless you are willing to pay for those rights. We are currently in negotiation with a Spanish publisher who wishes to publish the book. Once we finalize that agreement, the publisher might be willing to work with you to release a portion of the book to your forum in exchange for advertising for their edition.
I don't think that it will significantly help English language sales for you to promote our website, though I appreciate the idea. And it will only harm sales of the Spanish language edition or our ability to sell those rights if you are translating the text on your website.
Please know that we appreciate your interest in this title and we are trying to get the Spanish edition out as soon as possible.

Básicamente viene a decir que ni de coña se nos ocurra traducir ya no sólo el libro, sino parte del libro. Nosotros les ofrecimos la posibilidad de poner un banner a su página (
http://www.velopress.com), pero en esta respuesta comentan que de nada les serviría, porque si el objetivo es traducir el libro para personas que no entiendan inglés, un banner a su venta en dicho idioma no sirve de nada.
Por otro lado, comentan que están en negociaciones para vender los derechos y sacar una versión española del libro, por lo que nuestra propuesta sólo haría entorpecer dichas negociaciones. Una vez que hayan conseguido esto, nos invitan a que negociemos con la distribuidora en España.
Evidentemente, la respuesta sería la misma....
